Day 5 Athens 2004 - 08-16-04

Hello again from Athens Greece...  It was another beautiful warm day in Athens.  The sun was always out.  We had a wonderful time of worship and devotions together this morning and then we were off to the city to a church that we were at yesterday.  Before we performed we had a real heart to heart with each other and the Lord is just breaking us to make us more and more desperate for HIM.  It is great place to be.  Because it can not be any of us doing anything it has to be all JESUS.  We performed and it went very well but there were really not a lot of non-Christians there but we blessed the body of Christ and then were off to a street stage.  We performed right after Denver and The Mile high Orchestra (a swing band).  We were received well there and I got a chance to talk with an Russian man that was sitting at the street performance stage watching us and other performers.  I just prayed and asked the Lord to lead me to someone and HE lead me to this Russian Man.  I started talking with him and he started speaking Russian and I knew he was Russian because I understood what he said to me which was, "I do not understand" in Russian.  So I went to get Maarit, a LION Player from Finland who speaks Russian, and she was my translator as I share with him my life and how I know God is the one who has given me peace, hope and a purpose.  I also invited him to the church we have been going to in the area (I had a card that told about the church in the area that was given to me by FLAME)  This Russian man was open to talk with me but he wasn't sure about believing in God.  It was awesome to talk with him and I believe God used this to show him that God is real!  Then we went out to dinner and back to our apartment.  We have two performances tomorrow...
