Day 12 Athens 2004 - 8-23-04

Greetings again from Athens, Greece!! It was another gorgeous day and today was the day we got to go to an island.  It was so beautiful!  We arrived at the island during the afternoon and had lunch together, went to a beach together, and even had a chance to ride a motor bike around the island to see more of the island.  It was breath taking to see God's hand with HIS creation!  I can not describe the beauty so you will have to look at the below photos to see what I mean.  Amy and I also had some time with Jayne and Kim (our leaders) to talk about our trip.  That was very good because we needed to talk about things that God is doing in us and through us on this trip.  WOW!  It was good to talk and get out things we were feeling and confess and receive more of what God is doing in the both of us.  I praise God so much that HE has brought me here on this trip to show me more of myself and what God wants of me in the future.  I know God is calling both Amy and I into leadership and I am excited to see what God is going to do with us when we return home.  All Glory to JESUS!!  It always happens that when I go on a Missions trip I think I am going to be the one who is going to bless and teach others but it is the opposite.  I am the one who gets taught and blessed by God so much!!  I have seen so much happen on this trip from talking and sharing with Greek people to seeing God move and work in our team to seeing God refine so much of me.  The verse in Romans 8:28 has come to light so much now... It says: "And we know hat God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."  That is what is happening here.  God is causing everything to work together for the good even despite how we feel or even what we do!  Anyways, we did perform on the island.  We performed at the harbor of the island and some people gathered to watch.  After the performance Lucas and I shared with a group of teenage boys that live on the island.  It was a wonderful time.  There were about 10 boys on bikes trying to talk with Lucas and I.  I felt like I really connected with most of them and was able to share what it means to have Jesus in your mind and in your heart.  God bless you...
